272 duration with .433" lift. These are the largest lift cams in production at this point. I am running a set of these on the engine for Jay Shev. I believe there are a few others about to run these as well. At the moment I am in the middle of having a new profile developed to work in conjunction with more lift. The cylinder heads need to be machined for lobe clearance however. With the newer profiles this will also be needed. With the extra lift being incorporated into these newer camshafts a new approach to oiling will need to be addressed because with the added lift above .433" where JWT has set these you expose the lifter bore where the oil is supplied. I have a fix for this issue but am waiting on the new profiles I've come up with that Im having JWT draw up for me to test before I make the camshafts a main stream product line.
The current mechanical camshaft set being talked about here will definitely show more mid and top end power production not to mention will allow the larger turbos to use their efficiency over a more broader range. This MUST be coupled with cylinder head porting/machining to achieve a better overall final outcome.
